Elephant View is a well equipped shepherds hut sleeping 4 near Eryri (Snowdonia) national park, set in a quiet corner on a working farm with mountain views, a luxury wood fired hot tub and pizza oven with an outdoor dining area.
About the place
With parking for 2 cars and sleeping arrangements for 4 (max 2 adults, 2 kids) this place makes a perfect ‘escape it all’ break but is equally well situated for exploring the many mountains and trails on the doorstep. The best thing about Elephant View though..? The hot tub is heated for your arrival, so no waiting around for it to heat up, just get in and enjoy.

The outside area is amazing, there’s plenty of space to spread out and there’ll often be sheep or cows grazing in the field right next door. The outdoor kitchen area is also a great touch especially in good weather, making pizzas together and eating them on the table or by the chimnea and toasting marshmallows is the perfect way to end the day. Inside the hut is super cosy, especially with the electric log fire on, but it is very well equipped with everything you need for a short break.

Location & walks nearby
Located in the quiet village of Waunfaur and only a 7 minute drive from Caernarfon, this hut is in a great location for exploring North Wales but also close to shops and pubs. Some of our favourite areas within 30 minutes of Elephant view are, Dinorwic Quarry, Ogwen Valley & Llanberis.

Would we go back?
We have returned here many times, it is one of our favourite places to stay in North Wales, its so relaxed and we always get out to see so much. We will 100% be back again and again. Prices start at £300 for 2 nights and it sleeps 2 adults and 2 children. It does get booked up quickly as it is the only one on the farm, so if you’re interested in staying here, we’d advise booking early to avoid disappointment.
