If you love ice cream or just want to keep the kids happy then you need to visit Tagg Lane Dairy. We found this place back in 2023 and are yet to find anywhere that makes ice cream even half as good as they do here. Bold claim we know, you’ve just got to try it.
What is it?
Tagg Lane is a super friendly family run farm in Monyash near Bakewell. They serve the most delicious gelato, coffee and other treats, everything is made on site using milk from their own herd of Jersey cows.

We now go most weeks, so it would be easier to say what we haven’t had but our favourites include, pistachio, rum & raisin, cinnamon swirl, hazelnut wafer, lemon meringue, raspberry cheesecake and black forest gateaux.

Only a short drive from our Lathkill Dale, Magpie Mine or Dragon’s Back circular, we like to ‘celebrate’ most of our walks now with a Tagg.
