We're Char and Ads, a UK-based couple who spend most of our free time walking, exploring and hunting down the best places to eat and stay in between. The Peak District is home, but we'll go wherever the views are good.
Every walk on this site is one we've actually done. We never write guides for routes we haven't walked ourselves.
Roaming With Us started as an Instagram account, turned into a blog, and has slowly become something we're genuinely proud of, a proper resource for people who want to get outside without the faff.

Roaming With Us started as a way to share the walks we were doing anyway. We'd spent years searching for reliable Peak District walk guides ones that actually told you where to park, what the terrain was like, whether dogs were welcome, and what to expect in bad weather. Most were vague, outdated or clearly written from behind a desk.
So we started documenting our own routes. First on Instagram, then as proper written guides. The feedback was immediate people were using them, sending us photos from the same spots, asking for more. That told us something.
Now we're building something bigger. A proper walking platform where you can save routes, track your completions, download GPX files, check trail conditions and earn badges as you go. All built by two people who genuinely love getting outside.
